For over 50 years the name Norman Barrow has been associated with Music and production in Barbados and the Caribbean.
Starting out as a musician which he played with many bands of the 60's such as the Lucky 7 and the SIlhouettes which led to the formation of the Sandpebbles who became one of the Islands top groups of the '70s.
During the recent Celebration of the Islands 50th Anniversary of Independence, the group reunited after 41 years of not performing and it was a tremendous success.
In 1974, Norman Barrow started the A&B Music Supplies to service the need of Musicians. In addition to this, the company pioneered the development of Audio and Sounds Systems for all types of events and has provided these services throughout the Eastern Caribbean.
Norman himself developed his skills as a sound and recording engineer and is still regarded as one of the best in the region. He recorded many of the hit songs of the '60s, 70's and 80's and has provided audio services for some of the world's biggest names in the music industry.
He is also very active in Community work being a member of the Rotary Club of Barbados and is a founder member of The Substance Abuse Foundation of Barbados who operates Verdun and Marina House Drug rehabilitation centers in Barbados. Norman was its chairman for 13 years. He is also on the Council of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce.
