Since his last appearance in Barbados, JP (John Patrick Schutz) has starred on the concept album and initial production of Peter Danish’s “The Flying Dutchman”.

He played his first villain, a corrupt constable in “Burning of New York”; had two of the children’s musicals he co-wrote with Neil Berg produced – along with frequent appearances in Berg’s “100 Years of Broadway”.


JP also played Bob Cratchit in “A Christmas Carol” with co-stars Bill Irwin and Darrell Larson, and most recently toured for 3 seasons with “Oh What a Night” a salute to Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons.


John Patrick Schutz has become a sought-after event host and MC in the NYC area and was sworn in as the official Nyack Historian by Nyack’s mayor in 2013.

John Patrick Schutz was born and raised in Blauvelt, and a soloist and member of Nyack’s St. Ann’s Choir for over 30 years, JP has long been a fixture of the Nyack Community – Professional AND Artistic – since his teenage years.

While attending Fordham University he was active on and off-stage at Nyack’s Elmwood Playhouse. More recently while still achieving the award level of the Leading Edge Society, JP has been seen starring in numerous performances at the Helen Hayes Theatre and it’s current incarnation, Riverspace and has been the on-air TV host for Nyack’s acclaimed Halloween Parade for a number of years – providing interesting and quirky Nyack trivia along with his commentary.
